Servicing of the Kijac tanker and the Francesco Petrarca yacht

Large Dock 15 accepted Kijac for overhaul, a tanker specialised in coastal transport of oils and chemicals. Kijac is owned by Dinamarin, a company from Rijeka which has been servicing its ships in our shipyard for many years.
In the following days, Kijac will undergo different works, from hull improvement, electric and pipe works, main engine and davits servicing, water cooler cleaning and valves servicing.
Small Dock 4 accommodates the Francesco Petrarca motor yacht on which the underwater part of the hull will be repaired and the valves replaced in the following days.
The ship was built in 1941 in Viareggio, Italy, in the Benetti shipyard, and was used for carrying marble. In 1960 it was converted to a yacht in Valdetaro shipyard, and was under development several times after that.
The yacht has a beautifully arranged lounge and four cabins which can accommodate ten passengers and ten crew members. During free sailing the yacht achieves the speed of up to 12 knots, and during cruising a pleasant speed of up to 11 knots.
