Cruise Ships and a Catamaran in Overhaul

Even though the new business year has just begun, the overhaul base is operating at full capacity.  The big Dock 15 accommodates the La Belle De l' Adriatique cruise ship, the small Dock 4 accommodates the Krilo catamaran, while the Artemis cruise ship is moored in the outfitting quay.
Works on the La Belle De l' Adriatique cruise ship include the repair of the underwater and above-water part of the hull, its cleaning and the painting and the replacement of zinc anodes, as well as the necessary piping works.
La Belle De l' Adriatique was built in 2007 in Belgium, whose flag it flies. It is 110.65 m long and 11.90 m wide, with a shallow draught of only 2.65 m, which enables it to sail into narrow and shallow water areas, which is why it can be seen each summer in the local waters of Trogir. Visitors use it to cruise the Adriatic, and in addition to the local waters of Trogir, it also sails into those of Mljet, Korčula, Vis, Hvar as well as those of the cities of Dubrovnik, Kotor and Šibenik.
It can accommodate 200 passengers who have 48 crew members at their disposal. Passengers have full comfort during sailing, since the ship is equipped with a spacious sundeck with deck chairs, a jacuzzi, a gift shop, as well as two bars and a gym. At open sea, it can reach a speed of up to 16 miles per hour.
The Krilo motor vessel is one of four contracted ships in the fleet of the Kapetan Luka maritime company. It has been placed in Dock 4 for routine repair of the underwater part of the hull.
The Artemis cruise ship has been moored in the quay for works in the above-water part of the hull, following which it will be placed in the big Dock 15 for works on its underwater part, including cleaning, painting and zinc anode replacement. Since this is a five-year ship class renewal, the servicing of the main and auxiliary engines and of the line and propeller shafts will be performed, along with other necessary electrical, electronic-engineering, locksmithery, mechanical and similar works.
The Artemis is 59.60 m long, 10.68 m wide and has a shallow draught of only 3 m, which enables it to sail into the smaller ports of the Adriatic archipelago. During the winter months, the Artemis sails the Adriatic route with 52 American guests and twenty-one crew member, while during the summer, its route also includes the Ionian Sea.
