The tanker ship Sepen and Pomgrad's grab dredger 22 has sailed into the large dock 15 for their annual overhaul.
The tanker ship Sepen is owned by the shipping company Dinamarin from Rijeka. As part of the overhaul, it will have its main engine and ship-hoists repaired, manifold cranes and cargo tanks checked. Also, steel works on the ship deck as well as other partial sheet metal works will be carried out after ultrasonic measurements. The cargo pipelines will be serviced as well as the coolers, along with the inevitable performance of corrosion protection works on the hull and the replacement of zinc anodes.
The tanker ship Sepen has a gross tonnage of 2,701 tonnes and is specialised in the transport of oils and chemicals. It is propelled by a MAN B&W 6L engine with 2040 kW that can achieve speeds of 12 knots.
Another ship to have sailed into the large dock 15 is Pomgrad's grab dredger 22 (26x10m) on which the thickness of the metal sheets will be measured, based on which the sheets will be modified. Also, the underwater and above-water parts will be protected.
