Contract for Hull 338 Signed

Hrvatska brodogradnja Trogir d.o.o., part of the Brodotrogir group, concluded a contract for the construction and partial outfitting of a ship for nautical tourism with the SUNSET CRUISING d.o.o. family company from Split. The ship marked as the builder's Hull 338 is an excursion ship whose length is a little over 36 m, while its width is approximately 8 m and its height approximately 4 m.
The ship, including its hull, engine and equipment, will be built under the surveillance of the Croatian Shipping Register and according to its rules and regulations for passenger ships.
The two diesel engines installed for propulsion will have the Tier 2 certificate, confirming that the engines meet the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) regarding limited harmful gas emissions.
The purchase order of the ship was realised as part of the Government's Programme of Reconstruction of the Passenger and Excursion Fleet for Croatian Private Operators – Small Entrepreneurs. The Programme objectives are the development of small enterprise on the coast and the islands, as well as tourism development through organised day-trips and multiple-day cruises.
This represents the contribution of Brodotrogir, i.e. of Hrvatska brodogradnja Trogir, to the growing nautical tourism industry in Croatia, along with the order of another similar ship whose construction was contracted several months ago and which is in the steel cutting phase.
The preparation of the ship's technical documentation and the activities regarding the ordering of its iron metallurgy are in progress. The construction of the ship will last seven months.
