Children from Trogir Kindergarten Visit the Shipyard

A group from the Trogir kindergarten "Sparrow", consisting of children aged between 4 and 6 escorted by their kindergarten teacher Nataša Matijaš, visited our shipyard. Their teacher Nataša organised this visit as a part of the "Vessels" programme currently being taught in their kindergarten, in which the children learn about types of vessels, their construction, ways of navigation, use, as well as other characteristics of ships.
During their walk through the city, the children never fail to notice the "big red ship" (tanker) on the other bank, as well as the "largest crane" and various types of ships berthed in the Trogir Marina. In order to satisfy the children's curiosity and show them "big ships and cranes", their hosts first took them to the technical office and demonstrated shipbuilding by using Lego cubes, while Mister Mišo showed them the designs and tried to illustrate the phases of shipbuilding.
During the children’s shipyard tour, their tiny heads filled with many questions which they were keen to ask their hosts. They were mostly interested in the number of workers in the shipyard, the time required for shipbuilding, the ships’ names and whether or not they had godmothers, as well as in the technicalities, such as the amount of paint required for a single ship and the time required for painting.
Upon the completion of their tour, the children said that the two "big ships" (tankers) impressed them the most, while some of them liked the tour so much that they said they would like to work in the shipyard when they grow up.
