Two Years since the Privatisation of Brodotrogir d.d.

On 6 April, two years will have passed since the privatisation of Brodotrogir. For this occasion, members of the Trogir Visual Arts Association have designed a sculpture, which our employees then made from scrap steel.
Almost two years have passed since the privatisation. A great deal was accomplished during that period.
Hull 325 was constructed and launched, while the construction of Hull 326 for Trogir Maritime, our own maritime company, has also begun.
A step forward on the offshore market was also taken with the construction of a jack-up rig superstructure for the Perenco company. A joint venture contract for a series of offshore ships was signed with a Dutch partner. A contract on the completion of the construction of a chemical tanker was also signed. The new DOCK 4 was also put into operation, completing the services of the service centre, which will increase competitiveness on the yacht reconstruction and repair market.
For the purpose of modernising the production process, the construction of a corrosion protection hall has also begun.  A new marina was also constructed, whose capacities are presently filled up.
Over the last two years, the shipyard's vista has changed.

In order to mark the second anniversary of the privatisation, a steel sculpture was put up in the Trogir Marina. Especially for this occasion, the members of the Trogir Visual Arts Association have designed a sculpture, which our employees then made from scrap shipbuilding steel. Trogir's visual artists attempted to unite the elements of Trogir's heritage and its traditional shipbuilding industry. In this way, the sculpture will stand as a lasting testimony to the positive synergy which the citizens of Trogir and employees of Brodotrogir d.d. have been creating for decades.
"We sincerely thank Brodotrogir d.d. for their confidence, because this achievement proves that we are, as an association, prepared even for the most demanding creative work and artistic creation. I hope there will be more opportunities of this kind and that, together, we will design and make many more works of art", said Karolina Mišo, chairwoman of the Trogir Visual Arts Association, during the unveiling of the sculpture.
