Another dock operational soon

Brodotrogir d.d.  has become the owner of various equipment and machinery after it won a tender by means of which the entire set of movable assets of the bankrupt "Kraljevica" shipyard was sold. All assets have been offered at the initial price of HRK 14.9 million, and have eventually been bought for HRK 17 million.
A large amount of equipment and machinery has already been put to use, but the remaining part is still being refurbished. A 64 meter dock has been moored to the outfitting quay, after its refurbishment in the larger shipyard dock (DOCK 15), known as the "Kraljevica" dock. The dock in question is a reinforced concrete, solid floating dock (DOCK 4).
The dock underwent a concrete repair of the main deck, as well as the upper decks which contain the towers. The bottom of the pontoon in reservoir no. 3, the external surface walls above the level of the main deck, the internal surfaces of the tower walls and the external surfaces under the level of the main deck, as well as the side frames, have also been repaired.
For the purpose of finishing the ongoing concrete repairs on the internal wall and the main deck, and to complete the protection against corrosion, the dock will be moored to the shore for an additional period of time. If all goes according to plan, this dock should soon be finished and start fulfilling its function, which is the docking and overhauling of every type of ship weighing up to 800 tons and measuring up to 55 meters in length.
By putting this dock into function, the Brodotrogir d.d. will broaden its range of services, and since it already has a large floating dock with a 7300t load-bearing capacity at its disposal, by putting a dock with smaller load-bearing capacity into function it will enable the distribution of tasks according to ship size and the scope of the task, which will additionally enrich the catalogue of overhaul services.
In addition to the existing large crane with a 70t capacity, the overhauling tasks performed from the sea will soon include a smaller floating crane with an 8t capacity.
