"SONGA HAWK" tanker in Trogir shipyard dock

Many ships are entering and leaving the Trogir shipyard dock on a regular basis. The "Malinska" and "Laslovo" ships have been moored at the outfitting quay, and the following period in the dock is reserved for the servicing and maintenance of three tankers.
The first of the three tankers agreed to be serviced, named "SONGA HAWK" (127.90m * 20m), docked yesterday. The tanker sails under the flag of the Marshall Islands, and is managed by the Songa Shipmanagement Ltd., a company within the structure of the Blystad Group, with which the Brodotrogir d.d. has been efficiently cooperating for a long time. The "Songa Hawk" is a tanker constructed more recently, in 2009, in South Korea. Its five-year class period is about to expire this year, and the renewal of the class is the reason for its docking.
In order to meet the defined criteria for obtaining the five-year class, the repair workers will perform all the required works, including the cleaning, the underwater and above-water hull painting, the replacement of zinc hull plates, as well as the inspection, maintenance and reparation of various engines and equipment within the powerhouse and on decks. Provided that everything goes as planned, the tanker will undock by the half of this month.
After the maintenance of this ship, the "Sepen" motor tanker from the fleet of Dinamarin d.o.o., the domestic shipping company which has been repairing their ships in our dock for many years, will enter into the dock, followed by another tanker from the Songa Shipmanagement Ltd. fleet, named "Songa Opal".
