Norwegian journalists visiting the shipyard

Within the study visit to Croatia, LOFF representatives (The Association of Trade Union Magazines and Information of the Norwegian Trade Union Confederation /LO - Norway) visited the Trogir shipyard.

SSSH (The Association of Independent Trade unions of Croatia) and the Norwegian confederation of trade unions /LO i.e. their LOFF have actively participated in the projects intended for advancement of informing and communicating since the beginning of 2009.

This study visit is happening simultaneously with the seminar for trade union representatives held in Seget Donji with the topic of informing and communication.
Visitors of the dockyard were journalists from various trade unions united in LO and they were welcomed in the Technical library of Brodotrogir by Slavko Bilota, president of the Metal Trade Union of Brodotrogir Inc.
A presentation of the engineering design work, planning and establishing a new life cycle of the shipyard followed, held by engineer Mario Rovan, M.Sc., head of the project in the Development and Investment Department. What they were heard, the visitors could also see during the visit to the dockyard. Thus, they were introduced to the production process and construction of tankers and visited ships which are currently being repaired. Stjepan Lucin, head of the Sales department in the Trogir shiprepair sector, explained in more detail everything they saw.
„After everything we saw we can express huge gratitude. Thank you for your hospitality. We wish that you succeed in what you do. You do have our full support“, said one of the journalists at the end of the meeting.
