Visit of scholars to the Trogir shipyard

At the today's occasional meeting, Mr. Zoran Butic, Head of the Shipyard Trogir Administrative Department and his Deputy Mr. Ugo Buric, have forwarded to the students of the second generation of the High Shipbuilding School "Blaz Jurjev Trogiranin" contracts for their scholarship.
Since it is about jobs in high demand, these students have been ensured scholarship and job upon completion of their education.

Consequently, in the course of their schooling they will be mothly getting their grants in amount of 400 kunas for the first academic year, 500 kunas for the second and 600 kunas for the third year, and additionally through half of a period of the fourth year.
This programme for the qualification of shipbuilder, in duration of three and half years, was introduced last year, at the initiative of the shipyard Trogir, by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport.
This year after having finished the course of study for primary school, the students  had a chance to enroll into the High Shipbuilding School "Blaz Jurjev Trogiranin", Department of Shipbuilding, actually a unified programme of up to date professions, i.e. for the qualification of pipe fitter, ship fitter, welder, ship moulder and autogenous cutter.

On this occasion, Mr. Butic and Mr. Buric pointed out that the reasons for achieving the profession of the shipbuilder have multi-purpose character, and therefore new educational course of study is expected to respond in total, to new market demands and finally to improve  significantly productivity and competition of the Croatian shipbuilding.
