The vessel Plovput Split of the working title Newbuilding 482 sailed into Dock 4 for a final overhaul before its handover. The vessel is a concrete plant vessel built in Brodosplit d.d. and owned by the Split company Plovput d.o.o.
It will be used in the construction of new maritime signalling facilities and the maintenance of such existing facilities. The installation of sophisticated equipment such as the concrete pump for the transport of concrete, water pump for the supply of water to levels of over 130 m, automatic concrete plant with warehouses for the splinter of crushed stone and cement and other accompanying facilities will allow the construction of the most complex facilities at sea.
The vessel is 48.20 m long, 11.30 m wide, has a total load-bearing capacity of 305 t and is propelled by two diesel engines. A concrete production facility is installed on the vessel, with the bow ramp allowing the entrance of one construction machine regardless of the loaded water and construction material.
During the overhaul, the stern shield will be cut out, sanding and welding works will be carried out, as well as protection works on the places of cutting and welding. Also, complete corrosion protection works will be carried out on the underwater part of the hull and zinc anodes will be installed.
