Prestigious world recognition for the Brodotrogir's design and innovations

Brodotrogir's chemical tanker "Siteam Explorer", won several prestigious world expert awards - "Significant ship of 2007" of the British shipping institution "Royal Institution of Naval Architects"; "Distinctive ship of 2007" by the American magazine "Marine Log" from New York and recognition from the Australian maritime and shipbuilding magazine "Ships and shipping"

This was the ship delivered from the Trogir shipyard in July last year, first from a series of ten contracted ships for Eitzen Chemical ASA, the third world largest owner of ships for transport of chemicals and the world largest owner of IMO 2 ships, which is a part of the Norwegian Eitzen Group.
This handymax tanker for transport of chemicals, by the applied solutions and systems is more sophisticated than oil or oil products tankers, and represents significant improvement of the Trogir-Design (T-design), the brand by which Brodotrogir, with the last four series of ships, reached the apex of the world shipbuilding industry.

The delivered ships, thanks to the innovative design and constructive solutions, lead in comparison with other ships of that category, in technical performance, low operational costs and reliability.

The world experts forecast growth of the fleet of ships for transport of chemicals during next fifteen years, at the rate of 4 % annually, i.e. of approximately 2 million cgt, thanks to the growing international trade in chemical products (stabile growth of international exports from the Europe and Northern America, increased growth of the exports from the near East, increased imports to China and Asia in general). The market demand and sophisticated construction leave the space for higher prices for ships of this type, which significantly surpassed the limit of 50 millions Dollars per ship, doubled in comparison with the year 2000.
