Damaged Turkish Ship Haksa Towed into Brodotrogir

After the Turkish ship Haksa suffered damage near the island of Jabuka (and once more near Drvenik), it was towed and moored to Brodotrogir's outfitting quay, where the damage caused by the penetration of seawater into the powerhouse will be repaired over the next several days.
The ship was towed into our dock area by two Brodospas tugboats and escorted by Maritime Police and Port Authority vessels, with the generous assistance of firemen, who were pumping out seawater from the powerhouse during towage, thus keeping the ship afloat.
After inspection by our experts, the incurred damage will be repaired and the ship will be prepared for further navigation.
The ship is 86 m long and 14 m wide. It is loaded with magnesite and approximately 70 t of oil and lubricant in tanks.
See the photo gallery for more about the ship's arrival and accommodation in the Brodotrogir dock area.
