Hull 329 sailed out to the Viktor Lenac Shipyard

Today, Hull 329 left the Trogir Shipyard for the City of Rijeka. There, at the Viktor Lenac Shipyard, the workers of Tekol-Trogir d.o.o. (part of the Brodotrogir d.d. group) will perform corrosion protection on the main deck and the superstructure, while the workers of the Croatian Shipbuilding Corporation Trogir d.o.o. will perform works on completion and testing of the ship systems. Because the ship systems need to be prepared for handover to the register and the owner, the plan is to call servicemen to put in operation certain systems which were delivered by their companies.
After docking, the ship will leave the port for a trial trip in Croatian territorial waters, for testing of main engines, generators and all other ship systems on whose functioning depends the ship's navigation. The trial trip will last about seven days, after which the ship will be fully prepared for handover to the owner in the shipyard.
To be more specific, it is a 183 m long and 32.2 m wide tanker for transport of chemical and oil products of 45,000 metric tons, intended to carry IMO II products in 20 tanks. The tanker's hull was built in a northern Russian Federation shipyard, in Arkhangelska, based on a project of a Norwegian buyer, one of the world's largest owners of chemical tankers. Upon arrival to our shipyard it was partially equipped with a prime mover, auxiliary engines and some accompanying equipment.
